Decorative hard coatings are needed on many substrates. Hauzer has proven many times that different substrate materials, such as metals and plastics, can be coated in a reproducible way. The coatings will have a high quality PVD finish in colours such as polished brass, nickel, stainless steel, black and gold without any deviation in colour or quality.
Strong Adhesive Multi-layers
Nowadays many substrates need to be hardened in order to achieve a superior end-product. To this end Hauzer developed several solutions for different substrates. Hauzer¡¯s basecoat & topcoat system consists of a number of basecoats and topcoats merging into strong adhesive multi-layers. The result is a top-quality coating, hardening the substrate and giving it a vivid colour.

High stability and reproducibility
Hauzer deposits its Al2O3 coating with T-mode deposition technology. The benefits of this technology are easy process control, high stability and reproducibility of the deposition process. The deposition rates are adequate to achieve industrially economical process times. T-mode technology is characterized by specially designed sputter cathodes combined with an optimised gas distribution system. A closed magnetic field around the substrates generated by electromagnetic coils provides a high degree of ionisation, which is required to achieve the desired coating properties.
